Look of love
An eye-blinking installation developed at Fabrica, which tracks eyeblinks and in response changes the display. The camera is behind a one-way mirror, which tracks motion in the eyes used an infrared filter, and an infrared light is next to the camera. A monitor is placed face-up, so that the display is reflected in the mirror, which is what the user sees. For the installation, as you approach a gold bar, you look through two peepholes and blink. With each detected blink, the image of eyes cropped from various currency changes and a new version of the song ‘The Look of Love’, playing in the background, begins. The concept is that money changes in the blink of an eye.
