
Jacqueline Steck is a creative technologist born in Philadelphia in 1980. She earned her MFA in Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design, and studied painting at the University of Pittsburgh.
She worked as a flash developer in New York for MTV, Microsoft, Bolt, Firebrand, and Parsons School of Design. She taught interactive media classes at Pratt and the University of Venice. As an active participant in the tech-art scene, she has collaborated, exhibited and presented work in Luxembourg, Netherlands, New York, Madrid and Mexico. From 2007 to 2009 she held a fellowship at Fabrica, Benetton’s communications research center in Treviso, Italy, where she applied her research in eye blinking, gaze tracking, and mobile applications for Samsung, Benetton and Colors.
She spent Christmas of 2008 in a Buddhist monastery in Rome, and after Fabrica, lived for three months in Tokyo with her family until her visa expired. She has since renewed her Japanese passport in the United States. She is currently settling down again in Brooklyn and working at R/GA.
